This standard relates to the loads and combinations of loads, which must be considered in the calculation of the steel framework and the mechanical parts of a crane. Defined are: - the classification of a crane and its parts in groups; - the various kinds of loads which must be taken into consideration; - the rules in accordance with which the loads must be calculated; - the combinations of loads which must be considered in the calculation. The standard is applicable to cranes, with the exception of masts and derricks, on board ships.
