This International Standard provides a basis of specification applicable to textured yarns made from textile glass. Textured glass yarn is a textile glass continuous filament yarn (single or folded) in which the filaments have been deliberately and permanently separated to increase the bulk of the yarn (see ISO 6355). Textured glass is used in various applications, for example insulation, filtration, decorative textiles, reinforcement of plastics, fabrication of packings.
