Specifies the composition, mechanical properties and other relevant characteristics of the materials. The sampling procedure and test methods for the verification of conformity to the requirements of this standard are also specified. This standard is applicable to: a) copper alloy ingots intended to be remelted for the production of castings; and b) copper an copper alloy castings which are intended for use without subsequent working other than machining. The castings may be manufactured by the sand, permanent mould, centrifugal, continuous or pressure die casting process.
