This guidance applies to:

a) engineering, technical, project and maintenance staff employed directly and

b) contractors and subcontractors.

The guidance covers situations when employees are within the operational environment of stations and trains in service or adjacent areas.

The guidance does not apply to cleaning personnel that work on stations and trains, who have their own specific security guidance note.

Purpose

This document provides security guidance to maintenance, engineering, technical, project personnel and contractors when working within the operational environment of London Underground (LU) infrastructure, such as stations and trains.
