This standard applies to the supply of new and replacement OLBI's and are required to be available for providing LEPS in the event of the failure of all other normal power supplies and provide a high degree of reliability and availability.

Purpose

The purpose of this standard is to describe the technical requirements for the design, manufacture and testing of 400 V, 50 Hz three phase Off-line Battery Inverters (OLBI's) including batteries and bypass to be used to provide Local Emergency Power Supplies (LEPS).
