This pecification covers galvanized steel nbolts and nuts for use in the construction of transmission towe substions, and similar steel structures. Diameters of bolts furnished to this specification are ½,5/8,3/4,7/ 8, and 1 in.

Information on ladder bolts and shear strength of tower bolts is found in Annexes A1 and a2, respectively.

Ladder bolts, step bolts, and equipment support bolts mau be ordered with improved low-temperature characteristics as described in Supplementary Requirement S1. This requirement must be specified on both the inquiry and order to be applicable.

NOTE 1 The values stated in U.S. customary units are to be regarded as the standard.
