scope:

PURPOSE.

This Instruction:

a. Establishes policies and standards for the conduct of DoD MASINT training and assigns responsibilities for DoD MASINT training in accordance with the authority in Reference (a).

b. Updates the responsibilities and authorities of the DoD MASINT Training and Education Council (MTEC) as an advisory body on DoD MASINT training, superseding the DoD MTEC responsibilities and authorities established in Reference (b).

APPLICABILITY.

This Instruction applies to OSD, the Military Departments (including the Coast Guard at all times, including when it is a Service in the Department of Homeland Security by agreement with that Department), the Office of the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff and the Joint Staff, the Combatant Commands, the Office of the Inspector General of the Department of Defense, the Defense Agencies, the DoD Field Activities, and all other organizational entities in the Department of Defense (hereafter referred to collectively as the "DoD Components").
