PURPOSE

This Marshall Work Instruction (MWI) provides instructions for preparing Marshall Space Flight Center (MSFC) Form 3751 used to request mechanical fabrication work and MSFC Form 4069 used to identify internal customer-supplied parts and materials being provided to manufacturing.

APPLICABILITY

This MWI applies to the personnel, programs, projects, and activities at MSFC and MSFC's Michoud Assembly Facility, including contractors and resident agencies to the extent specified in their respective contracts or agreements. ("Contractors," for purposes of this paragraph, include contractors, grantees, Cooperative Agreement recipients, Space Act Agreement partners, or other agreement parties.)

This MWI applies to organizations that initiate, approve, or process requests for mechanical fabrication services by the Engineering Directorate, Space Systems Department, Electronic, Electrical, Electromechanical Design and Fabrication Division, Mechanical Fabrication Branch/EI41. This includes flight, test, ground support equipment (GSE), research, development, and facility hardware as well as outsourcing to offsite contractors.
