This specification covers flexible-arm, incandescent, electric desk lights, with weighted base or screw-clamp base.

Desk lights covered by this specification shall be of the following types and classes (see 6.2).

Type I.-Lights, desk, weighted base. Class 1.-Light, desk, weighted base with parabolic-shaped reflector. Class 2.-Light, desk, weighted base with trough-shaped reflector. Type II.-Lights, desk, screw-clamp base. Class 1.-Light, desk, screw-clamp base with parabolic-shaped reflector. Class 2.-Light, desk, screw-clamp base with trough-shaped reflector.

intended Use:

The lights are intended for use on desks, tables, benches, machines, et cetera to shield the light from the worker's eyes and direct maximum intensity on the work area.
