Organization: MODUK
Publication Date: 1 January 1994
Status: inactive
Page Count: 37
scope:

This Defence Standard specifies the minimum requirements for Qualification Approval of airframe wires and cables in the temperature categories 135°C, 15O°C, 200°C and 260°C with medium and thin wall insulation, which will withstand 600 V rms at 2000 Hz and for use as general airframe wires and cables. The Qualification Approval Procedures are defined in Def Stan 61-12 (Part 0) Generic Specification.

The test methods and requirements reflect the minimum properties which conductors, wires and cables shall meet for MOD use. The unique properties and construction of particular wire or cable shall be specified in the relevant Defence Standard Detail Specification.
