scope:
This standard applies to the stages of design, manufacture, installation, commissioning and safe use of all lifts. This includes Firefighter lifts, Evacuation lifts, MIP platforms and modernisations of existing lift installations.
This standard does not apply to the stages of design, manufacture, installation, commissioning and safe use of all lifts in non operational areas where the LU Engineer has no responsibility.
This issue of the standard replaces 1-093 A1
Purpose
To define the requirements for the provision of all lifts on London Underground Operational Areas.
