This manual mirrors the sub-section headings of LU standard 1-055 at the start of each life cycle section, but additionally has further sub-sections added to each lifecycle section where there is further guidance material available to LU that does not specifically relate to the sub-section headings used in the standard, or is better set out separately.

The information contained in this Manual is derived mainly from historical information contained in existing LU documents and therefore does not necessarily reflect current good practice. Where possible, existing historical information has been supplemented by references to current good industry practice.

This manual replaces 5-01304-006 A1. The Manual has been re formatted and renumbered. There were no technical changes.
