scope:
The standard specifies methods for determining the resistance of the colour of textiles to domestic or commercial laundering procedures used for household articles. Industrial and hospital articles may be subjected to special laundering which may be more severe. An informative European annex deals with choice of test conditions for European practice and use of the ECE detergent.If it is desired to investigate the effect of optical brightening agents, the IEC reference detergent or AATCC detergent 124 should be used.
