scope:
This standard specifies the minimum requirements for particle-tight (Type 5) chemical protective clothing resistant to penetration by solid particles. This clothing is made of particle tight material with particle-tight connections between different parts of the clothing, and connections to component parts, such as hoods, gloves, boots, visors or respiratory equipment (RPE), which may be specified by other European Standards. Such garments are full-body protective clothing, such as one-piece coveralls or two piece suits, with or without hood or visors, with or without bood-socks or overbooties.
