scope:

This standard establishes the requirements for the implementation of SPS in the design and construction of military electronic systems.

Purpose. The purpose of this standard is to provide the acquisition activity with specific instructions for implementation of Standard Power Supplies (SPS). This standard also provides instructions for the preparation of an SPS design approval request (see appendix A) , procedures for documenting and qualifying SPS (see appendix B) , and instructions for preparing specifications and test requirements for power supplies (see appendix C) .
