This instruction supplements existing Department of Defense (DoD) policy contained in references (a), (b) and (c). Additional policy regarding the screening and DEMIL of excess Navy conventional ammunition (Cog symbols, OT, 2D, 2E, 2T, 4E, 4T, 6T, 8E, 8S, 8T, and 8U) is contained in SPCCINST 8010.12D (NOTAL) and OPNAVINST 8026.2 (NOTAL). Enclosure (1) is a comparison chart that provides the scope of items to which this instruction pertains.
