scope:
Purpose. This instruction provides consolidated policy and procedures for the assignment of officers (O-6 and below) and enlisted personnel for duty on the Joint Staff in accordance with the references.
Applicability. This instruction applies to the Joint Staff and all Services components. Instruction does not apply to Reservists performing in temporary active duty status and not assigned to a validated funded war-time allocation.
