scope:

This Standard specifies the criteria of quality satisfied by the steel plate, wide flat and section (hereafter referred to as "steel product") to which the characteristics of reduction of area in through-thickness direction is specified by the tensile test, and the test conditions.

In addition to the items specified in this text, the supplementary quality requirements upon the agreement between the purchaser and the manufacturer shall be specified in Annex JA.
