General:
• Is a concession genuinely required? Tube Lines and LU (under certain and specific arrangements) do not need a concession for 'physical design non-compliance' unless you are required to replace / renew the kit and are unable to meet applicable standards. For LU, you may be able to manage non-compliance via 'physical design non-compliance' only as a legacy contractual entitlement under the Nominee Company arrangements - do not attempt to use it if you are currently unaware of this mechanism and any inherent entitlement to use it.
• Will a single submission save time for many sites? Consider grouping concession requests that are 'like for like' into one single submission where a single piece of mitigation makes this possible.
• Do competent parties support the concession? Evidence support e.g. relevant Asset Steward for the concession request being sought.
• Have you sought appropriate Safety and technical advice? You should seek advice on the safety impact of the inherent non compliance from a competent safety person e.g. the LU safety advisor within your programme or project team. If there is no safety implications then please explain why.
