General
All work related to an Engineer's Current Area (ECA) must be planned. Locations of ECAs must be published in the Engineering Works and Safety Arrangements (EWSA) or Engineering Notice. For further information refer to Rule Book 18.
When an engineer's train is required to work with traction current on in Engineering Hours, it must do so only within an ECA.
ECAs must not be used in depots or other locations where any adjacent traction current section is switched on.
