This INTERIM Defence Standardspecifies requirements for a foaming liquid cleaning compound which, whendiluted with water 1 :9 v/v, is suitable for cleaning the soiled exterior of Serviceaircraft.
The cleaning compound may beapplied by spraying, either as foam or liquid, by brushing or by swabbing.
The surfaces to be cleaned maybe unpainted metal or painted with glossy or matt schemes, including strippable acrylic paint complying withDTD 5599.
This INTERIM Standard includes tests to limitspecific forms of corrosion that affect structurai aircraft materials
