This specification covers flexible expanded formed materials that have a uniform cell structure, a minimum of 25% post automotive shredder residue. This material will be formed into components for interior, exterior, underhood, and noise vibration handling (NVH) applications.

Material Description. An elastomeric polyurethane foam with a minimum 15% bio-renewable and a minimum 25% post automotive shredder residue (recycled used car tires) content.

Symbols. >PUR 40<.

Typical Applications. Air, dust, NVH, and water seals where compression is required to fill or mate two or more surfaces.

This material is an elastomeric polyurethane foam comprising 15% annually bio-renewable content and 25% post-automotive shredder residue (recycled used car tires).

Density (ISO 1183, Method A). All materials for this application must be tested at production intent densities.
