This specification covers flexible expanded formed polyurethane (PUR) materials that have a uniform, semiclosed cell structure, with 10% to 15% bio-renewable content and 15% to 25% post automotive shredder residue. This material is formed into components for exterior, underhood and noise vibration handling (NVH) applications.

Material Description. This material is an elastomeric polyurethane foam with 10% to15% bio renewable and 15% to 25% post automotive shredder residue (recycled used car tires) content.

Symbols. >PUR 25-40< 1.3 Applicability. Typical applications include front of dash and drain seals used in HVAC systems, air inlet panel muckets, and outside rearview mirror gaskets, and other air, dust, NVH, and water seals where compression is required to fill or mate two or more surfaces.
