scope:
Purpose. To establish the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff policy and guidance for the use of the Joint Training System (JTS) in planning, conducting, and assessing joint training. Training in the context of this instruction aligns with the Department of Defense Strategic Plan for Transforming DOD Training (reference a) and includes joint training, joint education (references b and c), and job-performance aiding.
Applicability. This CJCSI applies to the combatant
commands, Services, Reserve Components (RCs) (to include the
National Guard), combat support agencies (CSAs) (including Defense
Intelligence Agency, Defense Information Systems Agency, Defense
