This Standard applies to Earth Structures owned by LU.

This Standard defines the requirements for work undertaken on Earth Structures asset through the following life cycle stages:

a) Construction, installation, testing and commissioning

b) Maintenance

c) Strengthening and renewal

Purpose

The purpose of this Standard is to provide material and workmanship specifications for all works associated with Earth Structure assets.

Earth Structures assets comprise the following:

a) Embankments of soil with slopes more than 1m high;

b) Cutting slopes of soil and rock (chalk) more than 1m high.
