This Standard specifies the rolled steels (hereafter referred to as "steels") having high atmospheric corrosion resistance, to be used for vehicles, buildings, steel towers and other structures.
NOTE 1 The term "atmospheric corrosion resistance" means the property to withstand the corrosion in the atmosphere.
NOTE 2 The International Standard corresponding to this Standard and the symbol of degree of correspondence are as follows:
ISO 5952: 2005 Continuously hot-rolled steel sheet of structural quality with improved atmospheric corrosion resistance (MOD)
In addition, symbols which denote the degree of correspondence in the contents between the relevant International Standard and JIS are IDT (identical), MOD (modified.)", and NEQ (not equivalent) according to ISO/lEC Guide 21-1.
