This guidance applies to LU, it's maintainers, it's suppliers and 3rd parties including all Designers and Principal Designers of, and Contractors and Workers on LU LV AC electrical Systems across all phases of the asset life cycle (design, install, maintenance etc.).

Purpose

To describe typical Low Voltage (LV) Alternating Current (AC) electrical installations that may contain non-conventional wiring arrangements and therefore require greater attention with regards to their labelling, operational and maintenance processes and documentation.

To establish a process to identify non-conventional wiring arrangements on existing LV AC electrical installations.
