Addendum Scope

This addendum provides the following enhancements to the Trunking Procedures (TIA- 102.AABD-A) standard:

1. Adds improved descriptions for Pre-Programmed Emergency Alarm (11.2.3) and Pre-Programmed Emergency Group Call (11.3.2) per TR-8.10/09-05-148.

2. Adds a new section (12.8) regarding the use and transmission of SYNC_BCST (per agreed action from TR-8.10 teleconference of 20 Nov 2009, meeting notes available as TR-8.10/09-11-156)

3. Corrects miscellaneous errata:

a. The labels LC_CALL_TERM_CAN and LC_CALL_TRM_CAN are both used throughout document. LC_CALL_TRM_CAN is correct. (one occurrence in 3.5, two occurrences in 4.2.1.1 and 4.2.1.2, once in 4.2.1.2.2 and 4.2.1.2.3)

b. Section 12.1, Page 102, "The SU shall begin the Single Channel Hunt procedure of section 5"..... replace "single" with "control".

c. Section 4.1.3: A period is missing after the sentence "The SU shall limit the number of retries to Nretry(.)

d. Numbering of two figures in section 4 corrected.

e. A 6.2.2 : $FFFE - $0001 gives 65,534 assignable groups, not 65,519 as stated in AABD-A.

4. Adds composite control channel procedures per TR-8.10/10-01-165-R3

5. Adds secure/clear upgrade clarifications

6. Adds clarification received from FPIC in 13.3.2

7. Miscellaneous additions:

a. Text added to 3.1.1

b. Related changes to 3.5.1, 7.1.5, 7.2.4, 7.3.7

c. Clarification in 6.3.2

d. Corrected errata in 12.1

e. Clarifications to 12.3 and 12.6

8. Editorial change to 13.3.2, third paragraph

This document only includes information relevant to the scope as described above. The reader is referred to TIA-102.AABD-A for all other pertinent information. The next complete revision of TIA-102.AABD-A will incorporate the changes contained in this addendum.

Note that section numbers identified in this addendum directly translate to section numbers in the TIA-102.AABD-A, Trunking Procedures.
