scope:

This guidance applies to all Track engineers inspecting the quality of track products being supplied to LU. Guidance should be followed in these circumstances:

a) Introducing a new product to LU

b) A currently approved product is being manufactured/supplied by a new provider

c) Any current product that is manufactured to either a mould or pattern where the mould or pattern has been refurbished/repaired

d) Any authorised changes to a currently approved product, e.g. material change

e) In response to problems arising during the use of any product to LU. Findings from the FAI should be captured in a report.
