The Source Control Document Approval Request provides the Government with a means for approving or disapproving the use of source control documents for specific items selected for use in the equipment.
a. This Data Item Description (DID) contains the format and content preparation instructions for a Source Control Document Approval Request resulting from the work task described by 5.13.2 of MIL-STD-31000.
b. This DID is intended for use in data acquisitions requiring Source Control Documents which the Government may use for future procurements.
c. This DID supersedes DI-SESS-81010E and is related to DI-SESS-81000F, "Product Engineering Design Data and Associated Lists" and DI-MISC-80071E, "Parts Approval Requests".
