This module describes the processes for controlling the issue of new or amended isolation diagrams and instructions under Network Rail electrical control for the following: a) 25 kV a.c. overhead line equipment (OLE).

b) 1500 V d.c. overhead line equipment (OLE) for Sunderland Direct Metro system.

c) 750 V d.c overhead line equipment (OLE) for Sheffield Tram.

d) 660/750 V d.c. conductor rail equipment (CRE) (Euston to Watford; Merseyrail; and Northern City Line). 

This standard is not retrospective and will be applied to isolation diagrams and instructions issued as of the compliance date of this standard.  

Purpose

This module describes the processes and responsibilities for the control and storage of isolation diagrams and instructions. The purpose is to define the control measures to support the safe operation and maintenance of traction power systems.
