scope:
a) Part 1 of this Defence Standard (this part) gives guidance (and sets requirements where appropriate) for the selection and use of fasteners on HM Ships and Submarines.
b) Parts 2 and 3 of this Defence Standard gives methods of manufacturing, testing and acceptance standards, thread tolerances, identification and packaging, and quality assurance requirements for non-First Level and First Level fasteners respectively for use on HM Ships and Submarines.
