This standard applies for pipes made of polyethylene (PE), PE 80 and PE 100, and melt flow indices from nominal 0,2 g/10 min up to 1,4 g/10 min (DIN EN ISO 1872-1, condition T), which meet the requirements according to DIN 8075.

This standard is also valid for the dimensions and operating pressures of pipes made of coextruded layers. Provided that all layers are made of materials with the same MRS-classification and the layers are substance-to-substance bond among each other. Additional requirements for the pipes are described in the european product standards.

It should be pointed out, that european product standards with a specific scope of application are available, which shall be taken into consideration. Some of these european product standards are listed in the bibliography for information. The european standards are subject of a continuous revision, therefore a guarantee for the completeness of the list cannot be guaranteed.
