This document contains requirements for a PMP necessary to achieve an integrated process to include: Design, parts selection, configuration management, and logistic support appropriate for DoD weapon systems and equipment acquisition programs. This document provides information for applying parts management processes and philosophies to achieve the stated objectives and end item performance. It is intended to assist the AA in preparing RFPs, Statements of Objectives (SOOs), Statements of Work (SOWs), Performance Work Statements (PWSs), offeror instructions, etc. (hereafter referred to collectively as "SOW") (see Appendix A). This document is also to assist contractors in preparing proposals and structuring their parts management processes.
