The qualification process ensures these adapters meet this fire proof and operational requirements. The adapter, nozzle, pressure cap and dust cap have to withstand temperature changes from -65°F to + 250°F (-54 to +121°C). Commercial adapters, nozzles, and caps are not designed to withstand these extreme conditions or sudden environmental changes, and would experience catastrophic failure.
