This procedure shall apply to all instances of reported signal irregularities on Railtrack's controlled infrastructure. For Safety Management of Signalling Failures see GK/RT0106 and for Safety Related Telecommunication Failures see GK/RT0181.

Purpose

To ensure that Signal Irregularities, including Category B Technical Spads are investigated. Also to ensure that Drivers Report Form RT 3185 is considered and there are arrangements in place to provide information on the cause to the relevant Train Operating Company.
