SCOPE AND APPLICATION
This Procedure applies to the Monitoring Requirements of all accidents and incidents occurring whilst RT1A & Track Renewals (including competitively sourced) Contractors are engaged on works for all Railtrack Zones, whether or not trains are involved.
PURPOSE
Railtrack's Railway Safety Case requires a system to be in place for the monitoring of the Contractors' Work force Safety Performance and take appropriate actions as necessary.
Data obtained from monitoring, either compiled from Accident/Incident Reports provided by the Contractors or discovered at audits can be used to identify trends and assist in the setting up of agreed Action Plans to prevent or reduce the likelihood of similar occurrences.
The purpose of this Procedure is to define the process and responsibilities for the collection of, and consideration of data relevant to Contractors' Accidents and Incidents.
