This Procedure applies to the Monitoring Requirements of all accidents and incidents occurring whilst RT1A , IMC2 and IMC2000 Contractors are engaged on works for all Railtrack Zones (whether or not trains are involved) and applies to all Infrastructure Contracts Manager's/Asset Manager's and Assurance and Safety staff involved with the Infrastructure Maintenance Contracts
Purpose
Railtrack's Railway Safety Case requires a system to be in place for the monitoring of the Contractor's Safety Performance and take appropriate actions as necessary.
Data obtained from monitoring, either compiled from Accidents/Incident Reports provided by the Contractors or discovered at audits can be used to identify trends and assist in the setting up of agreed Action Plans to prevent or reduce the likelihood of similar occurrences.
The purpose of this Procedure is to define the process and responsibilities for the collection of, and consideration of data relevant to Contractor's Accidents and Incidents.
