Material Description.

Materials covered by this standard are divided into the following types.

Type A.

Ethylene Propylene Diene Monomer (EPDM) coolant hose sulphur or peroxide cured, capable of operating to a range of temperatures from -40 °C to a maximum continuous temperature limit of 100 °C, and a peak temperature of 130 °C. Hoses are not suitable for applications involving direct contact with metal fittings.

Type B.

Drawing defined (e.g., using SAE J200 or ASTM D2000 line call out).

Symbols.

Not applicable.

Applicability.

Degassing hoses/vent hoses in the water circuit.
