This Standard Practice covers the construction requirements for high pressure lug-, wafer-, and flange-type iron and ductile iron knife gate valves.
This Standard Practice covers flanged body designs compatible with the following ASME standardized flanges:
(a) B16.1, Class 125 flanges for sizes NPS 2 (DN 50) through NPS 60 (DN 1500);
(b) B16.1 Class 250 flanges for sizes NPS 2 (DN 50) through NPS 48 (DN 1200);
(c) B16.42 Class 150 and 300 flanges for sizes NPS 2 (DN 50) through NPS 24 (DN 600).
