Purpose.
The purpose of this notice is to lower the threshold for Secretary of the Navy/Under Secretary of the Navy (SECNAV/UNSECNAV) (Tier 1) approval for conferences hosted by the Department of the Navy (DON) and attendance at conferences hosted by non-Department of Defense (DoD) organizations. The threshold is changed from $500,000 to $250,000. This notice amends paragraph 4b(1) of reference (a) and is effective immediately.
