scope:
This work instruction specifies:
1) how to install and set up the Hy-Drive Supplementary Point Drive System when used on Network Rail controlled infrastructure;
NOTE: This system is used in conjunction with an In-bearer Clamp lock to create the Hy-Drive Points System. This applies to systems that are used to operate switch lengths C to H switch on NR60/NR60
Mark 2 S & C and switch lengths F to G on NR56v S&C.
2) key differences between the Hy-Drive Mk1 and Mk2 designs (for NR60); and
3) differences introduced with the introduction of NR56v Hy-Drive.
This work instruction covers the Hy-Drive systems used in NR60 Mark 1, NR60 Mark 2 and NR56vS & C (shown in Table 1).
It applies to staff assessed as competent to install and maintain Hy-Drive Supplementary Point Drive systems.
Purpose
This work instruction supports the installation and maintenance of the Hy-Drive Supplementary Point Drive System. It is intended to control the risk of incorrect
componentry and set-up being applied in Hy-Drive systems. It is a reference document to support staff working with the system
