This document is to be used by all those engaged in producing designs for or auditing of fixed block safety signalling systems. It should be used when modifying/designing new fixed block safety signalling systems.

Note This specification does not cover specific application design or configuration issues, which shall be described in project particular specifications or other associated project documents.

Purpose

This document sets out the London Underground (LU) functional and performance requirements for the safe and reliable system design of conventional, fixed block, wayside signalling.
