This Aircraft Turbine Engines Joint Service Specification Guide (JSSG) and its handbook appendices provide rationale, guidance, background, lessons learned, and instructions necessary to tailor Section 3 and Section 4 of JSSG2007 for a specific application. These applications include fixed and rotary wing, wide body, manned, and unmanned air vehicles. The engine requirements are in this handbook and other propulsion and power related systems: fuel, electrical, starter, APU (auxiliary power unit), mechanical systems, drive systems, propeller are in JSSG-2009, and the propulsion system integration requirements are in JSSG-2001.
