Purpose of This Order.
The purpose of this FAA order is to prescribe FAA's environmental and occupational safety and health (EOSH) policy, delegation of authority, and assignment of responsibility to ensure agency compliance, and establishing effective processes that incorporate EOSH requirements in planning, design, construction, maintenance and decommissioning of National Airspace System (NAS) systems and facilities that will foster a safe, secure and efficient NAS.
