Page Count: 23
ICS Code (Concrete and concrete products): 91.100.30
scope:

This Standard specifies a method for the determination of the density and the water absorption of coarse aggregates 1). The test method for lightweight coarse aggregates for structural concrete where aggregates in oven-dry condition are immersed in water for 24 h is specified in JIS A 1135.

Note 1) For determination of density and water absorption of coarse aggregates using a pycnometer, JIS A 1109 may be referred to.

NOTE The International Standard corresponding to this Standard and the symbol of degree of correspondence are as follows.

ISO 6783:1982 Coarse aggregates for concrete-Determination of particle density and water absorption-Hydrostatic balance method (MOD)

In addition, symbols which denote the degree of correspondence in the contents between the relevant International Standard and JIS are IDT (identical), MOD (modified), and NEQ (not equivalent) according to ISO/ IEC Guide 21-1.
