scope:
This Standard specifies the requirements for test sieves of metal wire cloth used for sieve analysis test of the material in a state of powder or particle to be turned to raw material, partly-finished product or end product in mining and manufacturing industries (hereafter referred to as test sieves).
It applies to test sieves having nominal aperture sizes from 125 mm down to 20 µm.
NOTE The International Standard corresponding to this Standard and the symbol of degree of correspondence are as follows.

In addition, symbols which denote the degree of correspondence in the contents between the relevant International Standard and JIS are IDT (identical), MOD (modified), and NEQ (not equivalent) according to ISO/IEC Guide 21-1.
