This manual details the general requirements for HV AC cables, including insulated autotransformer feeder (ATF) cables, AC traction earthing and bonding cables, DC traction power cables, pilot cables and cable joints, terminations and ancillary accessories for use on Network Rail (NR) owned property.

Purpose

The purpose of this manual is to define the requirements for high voltage (HV) AC cables, AC traction earthing and bonding cables, DC traction power cables, multicore pilot cables, and cable accessories to provide assurance that they are suitable for use on Network Rail infrastructure.
