This Standard specifies the methods for evaluating the vibration resistance of a package or its contents against vertical vibration to which complete, filled transport packages are subjected during transportation.

NOTE The International Standards corresponding to this Standard and the symbol of degree of correspondence are as follows.

ISO 8318:2000 Packaging-Complete, filled transport packages and unit loads-Sinusoidal vibration tests using a variable frequency

ISO 13355:2016 Packaging-Complete, filled transport packages and unit loads-Vertical random vibration test (Overall evaluation: MOD)

In addition, symbols which denote the degree of correspondence in the contents between the relevant International Standards and JIS are IDT (identical), MOD (modified), and NEQ (not equivalent) according to ISO/IEC Guide 21-1.
