This Japanese Industrial Standard specifies the method and acceptance criteria of ultrasonic examination of the reinforcing bar insertion length of a screw reinforcing bar joint, mortar filling joint and end screw-threaded joint among the mechanical joints using the deformed steel bar of nominal designation D10 or over specified in JIS G 3112 (hereafter referred to as reinforcing bar) and the high-strength reinforcing bar.
NOTE The high-strength reinforcing bar is required to obtain the ministerial approval based on Article 37 of the Building Standards Act.
